Therapy is a collaborative process between therapist and client, where we work together to understand and address your unique challenges. As a client, you can expect a supportive partnership, where your insights and experiences guide our sessions. This collaborative approach ensures that our work is tailored to your specific needs, helping you achieve meaningful and lasting change.

My therapy style is holistic, relational, and evidence-based (treatment methods supported by scientific research and proven to be effective. ). I integrate mindfulness, CBT, and depth-oriented techniques to help you develop self-awareness, emotional balance, and healthier relationships—with yourself and others.

The First Session

During our first session, we'll start by getting to know each other. We'll explore what led you to seek therapy, pinpoint the challenges you're facing, and outline your short-term and long-term goals. This groundwork will help me tailor our sessions to meet your needs. My priority is to create a safe and supportive environment for you as we navigate your journey towards healing.

Typical Sessions

Typical sessions will include a variety of modalities and interventions tailored to meet your needs. You'll be able to discuss what is troubling you, identify "blind spots" that keep you stuck in unhelpful patterns, and learn coping skills to help you feel more emotionally regulated and grounded. You may experience a mix of proven approaches such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help reframe negative thought patterns, Experiential Therapy to engage in creative and dynamic healing processes, and Culturally Sensitive Therapy to honor and incorporate your unique cultural background. We may also use Mindfulness techniques to cultivate present-moment awareness and Compassion-Focused Therapy to foster self-kindness and resilience. 

If you enjoy learning and self-improvement outside of therapy, I can offer suggestions for books, podcasts, and other educational materials to support improved mental health.
