Frequently Asked Questions

Please email me at  liranyvtherapy@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The  focus of holistic therapy is on the whole person, not just their symptoms. The intention of a holistic approach to mental health is to address physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

I offer a FREE 20-minute phone or Zoom consultation where we can meet and discuss how I practice. This brief session allows you to learn more about my approach and for me to answer any questions you have about starting therapy. If you're interested in scheduling a free consultation, please email me at liranyvtherapy@gmail.com or text: (925) 405-5478.

No. I only offer online sessions at this time through Zoom.

I am only licensed in California, so I cannot treat non-California residents or clients that are out-of-state.

  • Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes to allow time for transitions between clients, though sessions can be extended to 60 minutes as needed.
  • Therapy requires a weekly commitment for best results. When clients are ready to graduate from therapy, they may choose to attend sessions on a bi-weekly basis for a limited time, before their final session.  We will create a plan together to determine the best timing for you.
  • Every client has unique needs and goals, so the length of treatment varies. On average, clients may attend therapy for 3-6 months to achieve short-term goals or overcome situational challenges. For those addressing deeper issues or complex trauma, therapy may extend to 1-2+ years.

  • My fee per session is $200 for individuals. Please note, I do not have openings for couples, families, or children at this time.
  • Yes, I accept insurance. I am an in-network provider with Aetna.
  •  If you are insured with another provider, I can provide you with a Superbill, which is a receipt for your sessions which you can submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.
  • Many HSA/FSA accounts can also be used for payment; please contact your human resources and insurance provider for more information.

Good Faith Estimate

 As of January 2022
*You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
